Lotus Energy signs the world’s largest renewable energy deal with EFFORT Group. Contract is to design, build, own and operate a Private Energy Network, a minimum of 500MW Solar, 1,000MW Battery/storage and 1,000tonnes/day waste to energy plant.

Estimated contract value to be USD 35 million.

Major focus was on social impact with training, education, employment and bio-diversity being key items of importance.

Region currently has between 4-6 hours intermittent energy per day which negatively affects local employment and industry production. It’s anticipated that the project will directly and indirectly create approx. 20,000 jobs for Ethiopian people which will greatly improve manufacturing and employment opportunities.
